The mountain goat-antelope like chamois is a popular game animal, in part due to the tasty meat! With distinctive white cheeks and black eye stripes, the chamois is a striking beast with its bandit like markings and upward raised backwards curving horns, making for an attractive trophy animal. Both male and female animals possess horns, although they are larger and heavier in the bucks. Males weigh in at approximately 50kg, with the females being slightly lighter in size. Usually found at high altitudes amongst rugged, rocky terrain, sprite-like chamois presents an enjoyable, but challenging stalk for any hunter. Chamois stalking should definitely be on your wish list.
